Will there be disabled access?
Yes. We will have a disabled toilet and anyone who is unable to walk to the toilets can drive to them. Please make the gate staff aware that you may need to move your car during the screening so we can park you accordingly.
Will there be food and drinks on sale?
No. We want to make this as safe an experience as possible for our visitors and our staff and decided not to sell any food or drink. We will have water on site if needed but please try and remember to bring your own.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Absolutely! However we ask you to please take all your rubbish home with you.
Can we get out of our car?
No. We ask that you stay in your car at all times unless you need to use the toilet.
What do we do if we need help during the screening?
Our Stewards in Orange Hi Viz vests will be patrolling the field throughout the screening. Please get their attention and they will be happy to help you
Can we bring dogs?
Yes you can. However please keep in mind that you will not be able to let your dog out of the car while you are on site.
Do film ratings apply at drive in's?
YES! Please do not bring children to any films with a rating higher than they are allowed to attend for their age. If you do you will be refused admittance and will not be given a refund.
Can we take photos and videos?
We would love you to record your experiences at The Magic Lantern Drive In. However, for copyright reasons you must not photograph or record any images of the screen.
How do I hear the sound?
When you arrive on the field you will be advised of the FM radio frequency that we are broadcasting on. Tune in to that and you are good to go!
What is the view like from the back seat? Can we bring a car full?
You can but to be honest, people in the back won’t have the best of views. This is why we are only charging £5 for the entire back seat no matter how many people are sitting in it. Anyone small enough should climb into the front and sit on knees!
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes you do – online booking is our only option and we need to know how many cars are coming in advance to make sure we have enough stewards.
If you are unable to access the Internet you can call in to the cinema from 4pm daily and we can complete the online ticket purchase for you. You will need a card payment though.
You will receive an email ticket confirmation. You MUST bring this with you to the site or you will not be allowed in. You can print it off or show us the ticket on your smart phone.
Can I see the screen in broad daylight?
Yes you can. This screen is a Hi Resolution LED screen which means it is not affected by sunlight shining on it and the picture is perfectly clear even in broad daylight.
